The Board

The Parents and Guardians Association (PGA) of the Department of Greek Language & Culture of (ΤΕΓ) The Hague has as its main purpose the support of the smooth operation of the ELC of The Hague as well as the strengthening of the contact of the students of the ΤΕΓ of The Hague with Greece, culture and history.

The Association operates as a legal entity and is registered with the Chamber of Commerce of the Netherlands under the name "Aristotles" and registration number KvK74786458).

The Association is a non-profit organisation and its financial resources (membership fees and donations from members) are used exclusively to meet the needs of ΤΕΓ The Hague.

The Association operates on the basis of the rules of operation decided by the General Assembly.

The Board of Directors of the Parents and Guardians Association of ΤΕΓ the Hague is elected at the first General Assembly of the school year and has a term of office of one year. 

In the school year 2022-2023 the Board consists of 9 members.

Dimitris Pavlopoulos

He has been living in the Netherlands since 2003 and has two children aged 6 and 11. He studied Mathematics and Economics in Athens and has a PhD from Tilburg University. He works as an associate professor at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

Lazaros Mavridis

He has two children aged 13 and one child aged 15. He completed his Maritime Studies in London and works as a Financial Manager in the pharmaceutical industry.

Maria Fotini (Maritina) Alevizou

Mother of two children aged 7 and 4 years. She has studied Physics, Business Administration and has a Master's degree in Education. She is multilingual, speaking in different levels English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Dutch. She works at the European Patent Office (EPO).

Angeliki Lazari

Mother of three children aged 6, 8 and 10. She is a graduate of the University of Athens and holds two Master degrees in the field of education.

She works as a digital solutions implementation and literacy consultant.

Sotiris Michaleas

He has two children aged 15 and 16. He has studied Pharmacology at the University of Athens and holds a PhD degree.  He works at the European Medicines Agency.

He has been living in The Hague with his family since January 2022, newly arrived from the UK.

He is father of two children aged 5 and 7 and guardian of his brother, born with Down's syndrome. He works as a research manager in the field of marine engineering.

Dimitris Rizopoulos

He has been living in the Netherlands since 2008 and has two children aged 9 and 12. He studied Statistics at the Athens University of Economics and Business and holds a PhD in Biostatistics from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. He holds the Chair of Biostatistics at Erasmus University Medical Center Rotterdam.

 Giannis Lyratzis

He has been living in the Netherlands since 2010 and has two children aged 7 and 11. He studied Chemistry at the University of Münster in Germany and holds a PhD degree. He works in a multinational company as a consultant for intellectual property protection (patents).

Konstantinos Koutroubas

He has been living in the Netherlands since 2016 and has a 5-year-old child. He studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Patras and has a PhD from the Technical University of Zurich. He works as a Patent Examiner at the European Patent Office (EPO).
